Hey CloudReady Fans!
The Neverware team is very excited to promote our latest release v54.2 on the Beta & Stable channels.
As always, if you're running from a USB-stick, you will need to remake your stick. Updates do not work on removable media.
Release Notes for v54.2:
- OS Upgrade to 54
Re-establish sleep/resume behavior on certain devices
Dell Optiplex 7020, 990, 3020, 790, 3010, 7010, 9010, 390
New Media Plugins option
New feature! This is something we worked hard to deliver after receiving feedback from our customers about how much they wanted it. We added a new Proprietary Codec install option in the Settings menu. Please see this page for a reference of Codec Formats included, specifically those tagged with [Google Chrome OS only].
RAM Efficiency fix
We implemented the Chrome OS low mem kernel feature - which is critical for proper memory management in ChromeOS. It allows the browser to make more intelligent decisions on what parts to terminate when memory is getting low. Swap partition is also enabled with this change. This should result in overall better performance on all machines.
